LG is going to become one of the suppliers of screens for iWatch

Tim Cook stated last night that new product categories will be launched next yearand iWatch- is part of one of them, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), currently collaborating with various partners for its launch. Although the choice seems strange, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), would use OLED screens for this new product, and LG Display would be one of the suppliers of these components. RiTDisplay is the name of the other company that has concluded a contract with Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, both of which will deliver the first products to those in Cupertino only next year.

LG Display has been in talks over flexible organic light-emitting diode panels for quite a while and it looks like it will be sealing the deal with Apple. Instead of relying on one supplier for its iWatch, which will be unveiled next year, Apple will have two vendors to be safe. The key provider will be RiTDisplay and LG Display will be the second. Japan Display might also be a candidate, but so far its capacity seems lacking.

It is not yet known what size the screens chosen by Apple for their future will have SmartWatch, but we are probably talking about a diagonal of 1.5 - 1.6 inches, the screens will be normal and not curved. LG Display already provides screens for other Apple products, the collaboration between the two companies being extremely close, so its extension to the provision of screens for smart watches would not be difficult to understand. The interesting part is that apart from these two companies, Samsung would not be part of the list of Apple collaborators for the next watch, a perfectly normal thing.
