During the last night the lawyers Samsung si Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), presented the final pleadings in the process regarding the establishment of the damages owed by Samsung to the Apple company for the infringement of some invention patents. In his pleading, the lawyer from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), said that in the USA there were enough companies that produced televisions, but they were bankrupted by foreign companies that copied their technologies that were not protected by patents, and based on this story, the lawyer from Samsung accused the American company of racism.
Apple's lawyer tried to suggest to the jury that an American company must be protected against a foreign company, and Samsung's lawyers asked for the trial to be dismissed based on this story, but of course the judge refused. However, the judge explained in particular to the jurors that their personal opinions regarding any of the two companies should not affect the final decision taken regarding the claims of both entities, but of course it remains to be seen how many will make a well-thought-out decision.
The trial has ended and the jurors will deliberate on the claims, so in the following days we will find out their decision.
