BLACK FRIDAY 2013: Apple will offer promotional gift cards instead of price reductions

I told you during this week that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is preparing to announce promotions for BLACK FRIDAY 2013 in the course of tomorrow, but things could be different compared to previous years. If in the past years Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), offered a discount on the purchase of some products from its stores, this year the company would offer gift card users for Apple Store which have a value equal to that of the discount. The problem is that these gift cards will not be able to be used in the iTunes Store, but will have to be used to purchase various products available in Apple Stores, but only at a later date BLACK FRIDAY 2013, so not on the same day as the initial purchase.

A similar strategy was applied by Apple for the Back to School promotion run this fall, so it wouldn't be hard to believe that things will be similar now, although few people will be satisfied. Customers expected Apple to offer them the opportunity to buy products at a reduced price and not to receive gift cards, so it remains to be seen whether the application of this strategy will increase or decrease sales for this day of the year.
