Apple implements iBeacons in Apple Stores and support for them in the Apple Store application

Last month I told you that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), intends to implement iBeacons in its stores and I explained how this technology could help us when we visit the Apple Stores, or other stores that benefit from it. Although at that time we were only talking about rumors, today everything has become a reality, the American company implementing support for iBeacons in all 254 of its stores open in the USA. Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), submitted technology from the Associated Press during this week, the Fifth Avenue store in New York being chosen for the demonstration, no less than 20 iBeacons being implemented in it to cover its entire surface.

Separately from the implementation of iBeacons, the Apple company updated the Apple Store application through its servers, now notifying users that they can benefit from the iBeacons system. More precisely, when they are in an Apple Store, or in its vicinity, they can receive notifications about events that have occurred in the store, the possibility to buy a new iPhone based on an upgrade, the possibility to take over orders already made and finally there is the option to read product reviews and buy iPhone accessories. iBeacons are functional only in terminals that have the Apple Store application and iOS 7 installed, and for now only Apple stores in the US have the technology available.
