Apple intends to produce curved screens for iDevices

Today the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), he was registered a new patent in which a technique is described by which a curved touch screen can be developed, this being only one of the patents of this type held by the Americans. The invention patent describe a the possible use of this technology to produce tactile surfaces such as screens or those used in touch pads, or such as the one used in the Magic Mouse, the technical procedure thought by Apple being much more efficient and problem-free than those used at the moment .

In the image of this article, you have explained how the products of this manufacturing process will look, compared to what is now on the market. Practically in the first two illustrations you can see how a curved surface is now made, this one not having a truly curved screen, but only a protective glass applied over the substrate, the user having the feeling that he is holding a curved surface in his hand, but in reality he has only part of a low tactile sensitivity. In the last illustration we have the finished product from Apple, all the layers being curved, the tactile sensitivity not being affected in any way, the user having a normal user experience.

Considering that this is not the first time we see applications of this kind, there is a possibility that they will not reach the market too early, but even so, we know that Apple is trying to innovate.
