Safari is close to occupying the third position in the top of the most used browsers in Europe

Refusing to distribute anymore Safari for Windows for more than a year, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has given up part of its market share in the browser segment, but its iDevices help it overcome this small problem. Conformable a study published the other day, Safari occupies the fourth position in the top of the most used browsers in Europe, being only 1.5 percent behind the browser Firefox. As you can already see in the graph above, Google Chrome is the absolute leader, while Internet Explorer occupies the second position, its market share falling by almost 8% in a single year.

In contrast, Safari gained more than 3 percent during this year, with Google Chrome having the biggest increase, of almost 6 percent. Although it is far from being the leader in the whole of Europe, Safari is still the most used browser for browsing the Internet in Great Britain, an extremely important country for the Apple company. Despite this achievement, it is unlikely that we will ever see Safari at the top of this list, even if mobile terminals are taken into account.

The study monitored only the websites dedicated to desktops, the mobile versions not being included in the statistics.
