iPhone 6 is going to replace Gorilla Glass with screens protected by sapphire glass, Foxconn produces the first prototypes

It was said a few months ago that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), could replace Gorilla Glass, which protects its screens, with sapphire glass, and this plan of those from Cupertino is starting to bear fruit. Conformable some information arrived directly from China, those from Foxconn would have already managed to assemble the first 100 prototypes iPhone 6 which have the screen protected with sapphire glass not Gorilla Glass. Although the initial number of units is small, it seems that the process of assembling the terminals is much more complex following this change, so we are talking about potential new problems with stocks during the launch period.

Although Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is collaborating on the construction of an American factory to produce sapphire glass for screens, it seems that a number of its Asian partners have made investments in the purchase of new equipment for production, all probably based on the conclusion of new contracts with Apple. At the moment, Apple protects the camera of iPhones/iPads using sapphire glass, but also touch IDof the Home button, so at the moment the company has enough experience with this material to make such a radical decision as its implementation in the screen protection panel.

Having said that, it seems that Apple will experiment with us in 2014 with a new type of screen protector.
