Just about a week ago I told you that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), test prototypes of a Apple TV which could run games and various other types of content available in App Store, or in a game store. In the meantime, new information about this product appeared and they confirm that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), tests various prototypes of Apple TV, each of them with different functions. Those from Cupertino are testing a product that would represent a combination between an Apple TV and a AirPort Express, the small product to include a router that would allow a quick interconnection to it.
Apple would intend to implement this new hardware in its device with the idea of improving the stability and quality of video streams made using iDevices, the current versions of Apple TV requiring the use of a separate router to connect to a Wi-Fi network. Separately from this change, Apple is testing Apple TVs that allow the use of iPhones or iPad tablets to control games played through it, but probably also controllers for iOS 7 they will be able to perform the same functions.
Finally, it seems that Apple would be interested in implementing even one in Apple TV TV tuner which would allow the connection of a TV cable in order to watch any kind of TV stations of any cable operator. Although all these novelties are currently only available as a rumor, their implementation seems slightly credible, especially since Apple seems to be giving more and more importance to this product.
