Tim Cook welcomes the launch of Microsoft Office for iPad, Apple promotes the suite in the App Store

Just a few hours later release of Microsoft Office for iPad in App Store, the CEO Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), Tim Cook welcomes the appearance of the software in the virtual application store of his company. Cook published in the framework Twitter a message announcing the appearance of this software in App Store and congratulates the current CEO of Microsoft, Satya Ndadella. Although the two companies are competitors and Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has its own office productivity suite, Steve Jobs he repeatedly praised the suite Microsoft Office, so Cook's action is not surprising, especially since Apple promotes the title in its App Store.

Microsoft Office for iPad is available App Store in the form of three applications: Word, Power point si Excel, all three being freely available to us. Unfortunately, these applications only allow free viewing of documents available in our iDevices, they require the purchase of an Office 365 subscription to be able to create or edit other documents, this subscription being available for the sum of $99 annually, too high for many owners of iDevices, considering that the iWork suite is available for free.
