Just a few minutes behind the company Microsoft submitted official Windows Phone 8.1, the newest version of the operating system dedicated to smartphones Windows Phone. The new version brings for users the possibility to use 3 columns of tiles in the main menu, wallpapers for the homescreen, themes for LockScreen, Action Center si Cortana, a personal assistant that competes with Crab si Google Now. Of all, the Action Center is very important, because it offers access to a system similar to the Notifications Center in Android, users being able to control various functions of the operating system and not only that.
Cortana is the second important component of Windows Phone 8.1, the personal assistant finally bringing to the OS Microsoft an intelligent system capable of controlling the smartphone based on voice commands. Cortana represents a combination of Crab si Google Now, takes functions from both systems to provide a whole that, in theory, should be better than both combined. Cortana is currently available in beta version, as was Siri, but probably in about 2 years it will be able to offer a decent functionality.
Windows Phone 8.1 seems to be an intermediate update, without extremely many important functions, it will be offered in the near future to owners of Windows Phone smartphones.
