Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), currently developing one SmartWatch called iWatch, but this device is not the first developed by the company in this product category. In the 80s the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), made the first prototype of a SmartWatch, and in the image above you have the device attached to a belt that could be worn by hand and was interconnected with the pair of headphones shown to its right.
Although only after 2011 smartwatches started to become interesting for the general public as companion devices for smartphones, Apple has been thinking about such products since three decades ago. Of course, the device in the image never made it to the company's offer, but it is interesting to see what the engineers from Cupertino were thinking about then.
