Apple claims that it does not receive preferential treatment in Europe for the payment of taxes

During this day I told you that in Europe The European Commission initiated an investigation to see if Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has concluded a special agreement with the government of Ireland to pay lower taxes on his income. Responding to the accusations made by The European Commission, company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), claims that it pays every cent owed as taxes to the countries in which it sells products.

Apple pays every euro of every tax that we owe. We have received no selective treatment from Irish officials. Apple is subject to the same tax laws as scores of other international companies doing business in Ireland.

Moreover, the American company claims that it does not receive preferential treatment from the government of any European country and that it is subject to the same EU legislation as any other company on the continent. Although last year the American Senate initiated a similar investigation, the final result was that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), does not violate any law, and the European Commission could reach the same result.

It was quite logical for Apple to defend its tax practices in Europe and there is little chance that any serious violation of European legislation will be discovered in its case.
