The Mormon Church will purchase 32.000 iPad tablets for its missionaries around the world

The Mormon Church or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, announced recently that it will purchase 32.000 tablets iPad Mini for 36% of its missionaries worldwide. The tablets will be distributed to them until the beginning of next year in an attempt to increase the missionaries' ability to get in touch with possible new followers through social media.

Missionaries will be able to buy their own tablets if they have the necessary money and will be able to keep them as personal property, but those who do not have sufficient funds will receive one free of charge from the church. As you can probably imagine, special applications will be installed in each tablet that will have dedicated content about this religion, all with the idea of attracting new followers more easily.

The initiative of the Mormon Church reveals how much the tactics of attracting new followers to alternative religions have evolved and it will be interesting to see what effect their adoption will have.
