Xiaomi MiPad is a tablet that I talked about more than a month ago, when I told you that it has a design similar to that of iPad and borrows some ideas made popular by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), cu iPhone 5C. During the past days the tablet was officially launched in China and managed to sell in no less than 50.000 copies in just 4 minutes, the figure being considerable for such a small producer.

We told you this week that Xiaomi could prove to be a serious competitor for those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, at least in China which is an extremely important market for the Americans, and the launch Xiaomi MiPad proves without a doubt that a ipad-killer it doesn't necessarily have to come from a reputable manufacturer. Of course Xiaomi is so successful because it applies a different marketing strategy than others, selling limited quantities of products and forcing users to "fight" online to buy them.

Xiaomi only sold 50.000 units at launch because that's how much it wanted to sell, but it did it in just 4 minutes and that says a lot about the potential of a Chinese manufacturer that sells more and more fiscal quarter after fiscal quarter.
