iOS 8 beta 5 allows optimizing the space occupied by photos in our iDevices

As part of the innovations implemented by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in iOS beta 8 5 we find a new function that allows optimizing the space occupied by pictures in our iDevices. What does this mean? Well, according to the description made by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, choosing the option Optimize iPhone Storage, iCloud will save the original pictures in the servers Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, keeping only a lower resolution version in our terminals.

In the case of photos recorded using the Camera application, reducing the resolution automatically also reduces the space occupied by the photos, so you could free up to several GB of space by using this option. The new function is available in iOS beta 8 5 menu Settings>iCloud>Photos and can only be used if we have activated the system iCloud Photo Library.
