Cosmote and Romtelecom officially become TELEKOM Romania

  A few months after the appearance of the first information regarding the merger of the brands Cosmote si Romtelecom in TELEKOM Romania, today everything became official. Through a press release published during this day, those from TELEKOM Romania they officially announced the merger between the companies Romtelecom si Cosmote under a single brand as a result of the decisions of the General Meetings of Shareholders of each company.

  According to the press release published today, the rebranding of both companies will take place in mid-September, and they will merge their divisions in the same period. According to the companies, half of the Romanians use their fixed or mobile services, so that TELEKOM Romania will become one of the most important players on the Romanian market from September this year.

As part of the changes, the 43 corporate stores of the companies will be completely renovated this year, the call centers will be unified, while Telekom Romania will have a single website for all the services offered. Basically, we are talking about a major change that Cosmote and Romtelecom promise us, so it remains to be seen how much the services and offers will be improved following this change.

Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania will use a single brand: Telekom Romania

The new brand will offer customers a unified experience for all fixed and mobile services.

As a result of the decisions of the General Shareholders' Meetings of each company, Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania announce the new official names.

Thus, starting from mid-September, Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania will communicate under the same brand: Telekom Romania, while the legal names will be Telekom Romania Communications SA (instead of Romtelecom SA), respectively Telekom Romania Mobile Communications SA (instead of Cosmote Romanian Mobile Telecommunications SA).

This change will mean a new experience, built around philosophy one stop shop, which brings simplified, integrated and personalized services:

  • fixed-mobile integrated stores. In total, 43 shops corporate will be completely renovated this year, in line with the identity and graphics of the new brand. Of these, seven concept stores they will offer customers an interactive, hi-tech experience, according to Deutsche Telekom standards;
  • un single Call Center, single website and o single presence in social media for all users of fixed or mobile services.

A lot of energy, passion and professionalism are invested in this complex rebranding process, with numerous projects and teams from the two companies working together, in sync" stated Nikolai Beckers, CEO Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania.

To implement the changes involved in the new joint Telekom Romania brand, over 2.000 people works on fish 100 projects marketing, sales, IT, human resources or real estate complexes.

68,000 hours of work were dedicated by several IT teams to implement the changes imposed by the new identity, such as the common website or the unique call center. All these hours are the equivalent of 35 years of work, concentrated in just four months.

In addition to an integrated approach to customers, the Telekom Romania brand also means a unified experience for employees. Thus, by the end of the year, over 500 training sessions will be delivered to all Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania employees - in total, 1.855 hours of training with the role of introducing the Telekom Romania brand, with its values ​​and philosophy, as well as increasing the commitment of the entire team to deliver the promise of the new brand.

Romtelecom and COSMOTE Romania customers will enjoy a new and fascinating experience, once the transition to "T" is complete. However, there will be no discontinuity in the services provided. All necessary adjustments corresponding to the rebranding process will be carried out without problems and will not require additional actions from customers. After the completion of the project, all current products and offers will be continued and gradually replaced by products under the "T" brand.
