RCS&RDS, one of the largest telecom companies in Romania, is preparing to launch in September Digi Play, an online platform for paid online movies. Those within RCS&RDS would have announced already CNA regarding the intention to launch the platform Digi Play, it will initially function as a the online platform for paid movies, some of them being already licensed/purchased by Digi Film TV station owned by the same company.
Digi Play it will not be limited to films, however, those from RCS&RDS intending to offer in the future the possibility to view documentaries, TV shows or sports broadcasts through this platform. Digi Play will come in addition Digi Online, a platform through which those from RCS&RDS they allow subscribers to watch online various TV stations from Romania, access being restricted only to the company's clients.
For now, it is not known for sure that Digi Play will be launched, nor what prices RCS&RDS will apply for the new platform, but I will return with details as soon as they are available.
