iMac Retina with 5K screen is in the final stage of development

For months it has been rumored that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), would launch a iMac equipped with Retina Display, and recently published information suggests that the product is in the final stage of development and will be launched on the market next month. The new iMac Retina would contain one 5K screen de 27 inch whose resolution would be of 5120 2880 pixels x, double the one offered by the current 27-inch screens implemented by the American company in the iMac.

A source familiar with Apple's plans tells me that Apple is indeed planning to launch a Retina iMac at their next press event, however the 27″ Model will be the only model that gets this feature. The source says the new 27″ iMac will use a 5120 x 2880 panel as leaked in the OSX Yosemite code a few months ago. This resolution is double the current resolution of the 27″ iMac which is 2560×1440.

iMac Retina with 27-inch screen could include processors Intel Haswell i7-4790K cu maximum speeds up to 4 GHz, Apple going to do switching to graphics cards provided by those from AMD. The bad part of this news is that only the iMacs with 27-inch screens will benefit from the transition to 5K Retina Displays, the models with 21.5-inch screens will keep the current screens and the current 1080p resolution.

If iMac Retina will be launched next week together with Mac Mini 2014 and OS X Yosemite remains to be seen, but it would not be difficult to believe that Apple could do this.
