Digi Play was launched by RCS & RDS

Digi Play is a new video on demand service, or video on demand, being launched during these days by the company RCS & RDS for customers from Romania as a competitor for Tyxo or Antenna Play. Digi Play is available through the system Digi Online and it is practically a video library of films and series in which the company offers a rather limited selection of films at the moment, with the promise that it will be expanded in the next period.

RCS & RDS today, October 3, launches Digi Play, a video on demand (SVOD) service, available through the Digi Online platform, where users have access to a varied video library of movies and series, which will be enriched every month with new cinematographic productions. RCS & RDS customers, natural persons, who have contracted at least one Digi service from the company's portfolio, can now subscribe to Digi Play for only 15 RON/month (VAT included).

Digi Play is available starting today at prices starting from 15 LEI/month for the company's clients RCS & RDS, they will have access to the platform from anywhere and anytime, including TV streams for some stations in the distribution list of RCS & RDS. Digi Play it's not a viable alternative to other services in Romania, it's not a great service and it probably won't be, considering that in Romania we don't have services as good as Netflix or Hulu.

Digi Play is, for now, expensive and probably won't become cheap, like the rest of the services offered by RCS & RDS, but it is a solution for those who want to be able to watch movies online, even if they are old.
