iPad Air 2 – the A8X chip and 2 GB RAM appear in the first images

Just a few days after the appearance of the first detailed images with various iPad Air 2 components, today we see a new face for the first time A8X in a clear picture, together with motherboard iPad Air 2. On the same motherboard we see, next to this chip A8X si the Elpida memory modules that we saw in a previous article, the Apple company intending to double the amount of RAM available in its iPad tablets by launching this tablet.

iPad Air 2 A8X with 2 GB RAM

If until now there were still doubts about the amount of RAM that the iPad Air 2 will contain, this image confirms that Apple will finally choose to increase the amount of RAM, which the tablet really needed. By enlarging the image of the chip in which the RAM memory that will be available for the tablet is implemented, we find that it has the marking corresponding to a component that contains 2 GB RAM, so this is what we should find in the Apple product.

Apart from this information, find out that Apple intends to eventually offer and iPad Air 2 16 GB, while it was rumored that the cheapest model of the tablet will have 32 GB of storage space. Considering the existence of this image, it is clear that Apple is not ready to give up offering tablets with 16 GB of storage space, but maybe it will give up the 32 GB ones and offer 64 GB instead, just like it does with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Don't forget that on October 16, starting at 19:30 p.m., I'm waiting for you on iDevice.ro to discuss everything that Apple will present. In the same measure, I recommend you to download the iDevice.ro application to always be up to date with all the news from the Apple world.
