Yesterday I told you that a coalition of major US retailers is boycotting the Apple Pay system of Apple because it plans to launch one of its own called CurrenC. The boycott involved disabling NFC chips from their own POS available in US stores, because their customers could use Apple Pay to make mobile payments at those terminals, and the consortium did not want to give customers the ability to this because it would have been extremely difficult to promote an archaic system like CurrentC.
