The FCC confirms the existence of a new Apple product

Apple iBeacon

The FCC is an American federal agency that certifies electronic products sold in the USA, today confirming a new product Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), not yet released. In the image above you have presented it and we are talking about an iBeacon that is already installed in the Apple Stores in Cupertino, interacting with the iOS iBeacons system.

The device in the picture has been sent initially for registration in July of this year, but now we have the first public documents presenting it. It looks like a normal iBeacons device, but it is also accompanied by a user manual, a sign that Apple intends to sell it or offer it to partners for testing.

The device can be placed anywhere in a store, has LED indicators for battery and signal strength, a USB port and an on/off button. Using the USB and a dedicated application, it can be configured by the store owners, so that anyone can quickly alert their customers when there are promotions available for them.

The iBeacons system is available for App Store applications and through it various promotions of the stores we visit are displayed in our terminals. The iBeacons product is not dedicated to consumers around the world, so only to store owners.
