  MacBook Air 12 inches is the future Mac which the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they are developing it at the moment, and thanks to some sources inside the company, today we have the opportunity to find out details about it. The new product is going to be slightly larger than the 11-inch MacBook Air, despite the fact that it has a 12-inch diagonal screen.

  To get such a small profile for MacBook Air 12 inches, the Apple company manufactured an aluminum case that is 6mm narrower than that of the MacBook Air 11 inch. Although it is narrower, the case is 6mm higher than that of the respective product, and this is to allow the introduction of such a large screen, the edges of the case around the screen being also significantly reduced.

  Going further we find out that the whole case MacBook Air 12 inches it was redone, resembling the PowerBook launched a decade ago. The new keyboard is located from one side of the case to the other along the entire length, the keys being slightly redesigned to be closer to each other, this being necessary to make the product much narrower than the MacBook Air 11 inch.

  In order to narrow the keyboard, the Apple company repositioned some keys that control functions of OS X and Mac, others being simplified. Separately, the trackpad is designed to have the width of the MacBook Air 11 inch, it is still taller and closer to the keyboard and the case, Apple implementing a new mechanism for actuating commands by pressing.

  As you can see from the images below, the 12-inch MacBook Air is thinner than the 11-inch MacBook Air, with a slightly different design based on this change. Returning to the keyboard, above it are now mounted four grills for speakers that are also used to exhaust the hot air from the case, the ultrabook not having a fan on the processor.

  The MacBook Stealth, as it is called by Apple employees, has much fewer ports than in the past, with Apple finally implementing a USB 3.1 Type-C. In the MacBook Air 12 inches we will find ports for headphones and a microphone, but we will not find standard USB ports, a port for SD cards, one for Thunderbolt or a Magsafe port, Apple intends to give up all of them, although no decision has been made yet the final.

  The elimination of all those ports aims to redirect the functionality of some of them to the USB Type-C connector, which allows, through various accessories, the connection of cables for the respective standards. Eliminating all these ports and making all the changes aims to reduce the dimensions of the MacBook Air 12 inches and it seems that we will have an extremely interesting product.

  For now, it is not known when the 12-inch MacBook Air would be released, and there is no mention of the Retina screen, but Apple will probably include it, but is trying to keep everything hidden at the moment.
