Apple forces Mac owners to update Adobe flash because of dangerous malware

Adobe Player forced update

During the past days the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), decided it was time to block a dangerous plugin vulnerability Adobe flash used by Mac owners in OS X. Publishing a page dedicated to the update and sending emails to Mac owners, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), he asked them them to update the plugin Adobe flash, actually obliging them. Apple blocks any version of flash older than 16.0.0.305 by displaying the message in the image above, disabling the plugin for those who ignore the message.

APPLE-SA-2015-02-05-1 OS X: Flash Player plug-in blocked. Due to security issues in older versions, Apple has updated the web plug-in blocking mechanism to disable all versions prior to Flash Player 16.0.0.305 and 13.0.0.269.

Any kind of flash content that users try to view is automatically blocked by Apple after the error message is displayed, so updating is mandatory. Considering that Apple tries to protect its users against hackers, actions of this kind should not be viewed negatively, especially since this is not the first time that Apple uses this strategy. Adobe flash is one of the most vulnerable plugins to attacks by hackers, and Youtubers have decided to give it up completely due to numerous problems, so in 1 or 2 years we will probably get rid of it for good.
