Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), initiated many years ago a program called Made for iPhone, or MFi, he being followed by another named Made for iPad, thereby certifying certain accessory manufacturers and selling their products in their own stores. This program helps accessory manufacturers to be present in Apple Store-s, at the same time generating tailor-made sales for them all over the world. Because this ecosystem was so successful, the Samsung company thought it wouldn't hurt to build own one, and starting with Samsung Galaxy S6 will start doing it.

Samsung Electronics is attempting to build a new ecosystem of mobile phone accessories through its "Galaxy S6" phone. It wants to increase the number of partner companies and maximize profits by strengthening its authentication system and developing the market of authentic products, like Apple.

According to a publication from South Korea, the Samsung company will implement in Samsung Galaxy S6 authentication chips that, in theory, will only allow certain accessories to interact with the terminal. The chips developed by the Samsung company for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy Edge S6 it will allow you to control the products and interact with them, including through NFC. Just like in the case of Apple accessories, only the products that will have these chips will be able to interact with Samsung terminals and will be able to control them.

By implementing these chips, Samsung intends to differentiate its original accessories from counterfeit ones, and whether it will be successful or not, remains to be seen.
