Apple will buy back 20% of its shares until 2017

Apple share buyback

During 2012 the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), initiated a program to buy back shares sold on the American stock market, spending 70 billion dollars in this regard so far. Most of the money was spent during 2014, and starting with 2015 Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will pay at least 50 billion dollars annually to buy back its shares sold on the US stock exchange. If this trend continues, then the Apple company will spend over 220 billion dollars until 2017, inclusive, and will arrive to redeem no less than 20% of the total shares sold on the stock exchange.

Assuming Apple relies on US free cash flow and debt issuance to fund share buyback over the next three years, Apple is in a position to spend $150 billion on share buyback, repurchasing another 20% of its outstanding shares by 2017.

Company shares Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they are extremely sought after on the American stock market and generate record after record in terms of price, Apple buying them back at a much higher price than the selling price. Even so, if in two years Apple manages to own 20% of the total shares issued so far, we are talking about a real achievement for Tim Cook. A company that has total control over itself and does not depend on the decisions of the shareholders can guide its future however it wants and this is probably the goal of those from Cupertino.

In this idea, Apple could buy back half of its total shares until 2022, if it continues to invest at the same rate.
