To attract even more interest to Apple Watch, the Apple company offered an American television station the opportunity to visit one of its secret laboratories where some of the fitness and health functions of the Apple Watch applications were tested. In the video clip above you will see how Apple employees train daily to test these functions, and the interesting part is that most of them did not even know the purpose of these tests, according to the vice president who supervised the laboratory.

On this project they participated only the employees who volunteered for the actions, and during the 2 years of the laboratory's existence, various people did yoga, ran on treadmills, rowed and many, many others. In order for everything to be as real as possible, Apple has created special cameras that simulate various "atmospheric" conditions in which the Apple Watch could be used, all with the idea of providing the most accurate information.

[The employees] knew they were testing something, but they didn't know it was for the Apple Watch," said Jeff Williams, Apple's senior vice president of operations. "We hooked them up with all the masks and so forth, but we would put on an Apple Watch covered up.

This is the first time that Apple offers such wide access to a television in one of its product testing laboratories, and this says a lot about the desire of those in Cupertino that the Apple Watch be received with great interest by users.

UPDATED: The video clip has been removed from YouTube, probably at Apple's request, but it is visible from the US, for now, on this page.
