Deutsche Telekom obtains exclusivity in Apple Stores in Germany

Deutsche Telekom is one of the most important telecom groups in the world, and in Germany it seems to have managed to convince the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), to grant him exclusivity regarding the conclusion of mobile phone contracts together with the purchase of iPhone terminals or iPad tablets from Apple Store. The change applies only to telephone subscriptions, Vodafone and O2 being removed from the offers of Apple Stores, those from Vodafone remaining available only for the purchase of iPhone terminals together with a prepaid card.

Apple partners continue to sell iPhone terminals and iPad tablets in their own physical and online stores, so Apple has not completely given up on collaborating with them, but the disposition of the offers in Apple Stores is a rather curious move, considering that Apple is trying to increase its sales, not to reduce them. Apple has not commented in any way on the decision to no longer sell iPhones or iPad tablets together with Vodafone or O2 mobile phone subscriptions, and probably will not do so either, as the operators can be reintroduced to the Apple Stores offer at any time, so that the disappearance could be temporary.
