The Apple car – Tesla's CEO offers exclusive details

Apple Elon Musk Tesla car - iDevice.roApple car is one of the secret projects under development in Cupertino for a very long time, and thanks to the CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, today we learn some exclusive details about him and Apple's plans. I told you a few weeks ago that Apple and Tesla "steal" each other's employees for various car projects, but now Elon Musk offers some interesting details regarding this process.

More precisely, Elon Musk claims that Tesla "steals" 5 times more Apple employees than the Apple company manages to steal Tesla employees, and this is probably not so gratifying for Tim Cook and his vice presidents. Elon Musk stated that he would be happy to see an electric and autonomous Apple car, considering that this type of vehicle represents the future, and Apple's entry into this market will attract the attention of a much larger number of people to it.

I CERTAINLY HOPE APPLE GETS INTO THE CAR BUSINESS. THAT WOULD BE GREAT. BUT WE'RE NOT SEEING ANY SIGNIFICANT ATTRITION OF ENGINEERS TO APPLE, FOR ANYTHING. CARS OR OTHERWISE. ANYONE CAN FIND THIS OUT BY GOING ON LINKEDIN. IF YOU LOOK AT THE TRAILING 12 MONTHS, TESLA HAS RECRUITED SOMETHING LIKE FIVE TIMES AS MANY PEOPLE FROM APPLE AS APPLE HAS FROM TESLA.

The information came thanks to the conference for the presentation of the financial results for Q1 2015, Elon Musk also discussing the alleged purchase offer made by the Apple company for Tesla. A few months ago, information appeared according to which Apple would have discussed with Tesla regarding a possible acquisition in order to develop the project for the Apple car, but the discussions did not materialize in a purchase.

The Apple car has been in development within Apple for several years, and hiring various people from a multitude of car manufacturing companies has been one of Apple's main goals lately. Despite the many jobs, it is not known when the Apple car will be launched on the market, so you should not get your hopes up that it will be launched too soon.
