Apple Pay arrives in Europe

Apple Pay EuropeApple Pay arrives in Europe this summer, the Apple company being currently in advanced discussions with some European banks regarding the expansion of the availability of its mobile payment service. The information comes from the KBC bank in Belgium, which confirms via Twitter that starting this summer, its customers will have the opportunity to make mobile payments through Apple Pay using its bank cards.

If Apple will really launch Apple Pay in Europe this summer, then there is a very good chance that we will see an official announcement made by the American company in this regard during WWDC 2015. At the moment, Apple Pay is available exclusively in the US, but last year Apple hired people in Great Britain in order to expand the availability of the service in various areas around the globe.

The interesting part of this announcement lies in the fact that Belgium is not one of the traditional important countries for the Apple company, so if the information is true, then there is a chance that many countries in Europe will offer Apple Pay support. For now we do not know the list, but apart from Great Britain, France and Germany, we could talk about Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Portugal, Austria and many others.
