iOS 9 on iPad – two applications in the same screen and support for multiple users

iOS 9 iPadiOS 9 on iPad will bring us the possibility to use two applications on the same screen, but also to create multiple user accounts for using the product, iPad Pro also being prepared for release in the future. iOS 9 will bring iPad tablets the ability to run two applications in this screen right from the fall of this year, while the system that allows the creation of multiple users will be available in iOS 9 after the release iPad Pro, two models are now in development, one with the code J98 and one with the code J99.

Apple planned last year to launch the system that allows two applications to be viewed on the same screen, but it seems that only with iOS 9 can it be offered to users, and at WWDC 2015 we will see him presented for the first time. Available in Microsoft Surface tablets, the function was appreciated by many people, but last year it was not ready to be offered to iPad tablet users, 2015 being a completely different "story".

Apple is developing a dual-app viewing mode, a 12-inch iPad codenamed "J99," and support for multi-user logins, according to sources briefed on the plans. First planned for debut last year, the split-screen applications feature for the iPad could be introduced as soon as June at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference, while multi-user login support and the 12-inch iPad will apparently arrive later...

The major operating problems of iOS 8 forced the Apple company to turn its attention to the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, preferring to keep its users satisfied than to launch an unprepared function. In this idea, starting with iOS 9, some iPad tablets will have it available, and it can be tested right from June 8, when it will be launched iOS beta 9 1 for application developers.

This system of dividing the screen into two regions to run applications will have three modes of operation, the screen being divided into the following formats: 1/2, 1/3 and 2/3, the division taking into account the application used. In split-screen mode, users can display two applications or multiple sections of a single application, and if it will be included in iOS 9, then we are talking about an extremely interesting functionality.

Although iOS 9 will bring us this system at some point, the Apple company thought it mainly for the iPad Pro and not the current tablets, so the function could be kept secret until the iPad Pro, two models are now in development, one with the code J98 and one with the code J99, will be launched. According to the information that appeared today, the iPad Pro is, in essence, a larger version of the iPad Air 2 that has stereo speakers, and everything that has been rumored about it so far.

Although Apple has not set a release date because iOS 9 for it is not finished, the prototypes run a version of the operating system that appears to be identical to the one used on current tablets, but with larger graphics. For the iPad Pro, Apple intends to offer additional functionality, so that in addition to running two applications on the same screen, we will also see other novelties.

Another significant iPad feature in the pipeline is support for multiple users, according to sources. This feature will allow several users to share an iPad, but have access solely to their own apps, documents, and media, like on a Mac. As of earlier this year, Apple had planned to ship multiple user support in iOS 9, but sources now indicate that the feature has been pushed back from its planned WWDC Keynote debut and is unlikely to be ready for iOS 9.0 this fall.

A rethinking of the designs for Siri or the notification center are planned by Apple, and with support for USB-C, the tablet will allow you to connect keyboards, but also other peripherals designed for PCs. However, among all these, one of the main functions will be a multi-user login system that will allow the creation of user accounts to provide access to the tablet to a large number of people.

Everything will work as in OS X or Windows, so each user will have their own account with their own data, i.e. documents, applications or content multimedia, users have been asking for these functions for several years. Unfortunately, this system is far from being ready for launch, Apple postponing the presentation from WWDC 2015, but also the one in the fall, so that it could be introduced in iOS 9.1 or maybe iOS 9.2.

Last night I talked to you about the new iOS 9 font, application iOS 9 Home and today about iOS 9 Apple Maps, so slowly, slowly we find out everything that Apple has prepared.
