Apple contracts new partners for Apple Maps

Apple Maps data providersApple has contracted new partners to provide geolocation data for the service Apple Maps, this a few days after a extended the TomTom contract to provide information worldwide. E-WEGO SARL, NavADS BV and the Golden Pages from Turkey are the new entities that provide maps for Apple Maps, the Apple company contracting these companies, most likely, to improve the coverage in countries such as France or Turkey, they do not claim to have detailed information for other locations around the globe, including Romania.

Separately from these companies, Apple recently added two new data providers, Gas Buddy and GreatSchools, but in these cases we are talking about providing points of interest for the US, the information not being so important for other regions. By keeping TomTom as the main data provider, the Apple company ensures that in countries like Romania it will not offer great coverage and no points of interest to measure.

The other day I told you that iOS 9 Apple Maps is going to include a localization system inside the buildings, those from Apple are also preparing to offer the possibility of creating navigation routes for public transport routes.
