iOS 9 – compatibility with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

iOS beta 9 1iOS 9 will be released in the fall by the Apple company, but in the meantime you are probably interested in finding out which iPhones, iPads or iPod Touches are compatible with the new version of the operating system. Well, I already told you that iOS 9 beta 1 will be released today by the Apple company and in July in the public beta version, that's when I also told you which terminals are compatible with it from the very beginning.

According to Apple, the following iDevices are compatible with iOS 9:

  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone 6
  • 6 iPhone Plus
  • iPad 2
  • iPad mini
  • iPad 3
  • iPad 4
  • iPad Air
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPod touch (5th generation)

Practically any terminal that could run iOS 8 will still be able to run iOS 9, probably in much better conditions than in the past, considering the many improvements implemented by those from Cupertino. Having said that, you just have to wait for the update, Apple also reducing the space required for installation, from 4.6 GB to only 1.8 GB.
