The Apple Watch Sport has a better screen than the stainless steel or gold models

Apple Watch Sport good screenApple Watch Sport it has a better screen than stainless steel or gold models, a recently published study also showing the reasons why users of the cheaper model come out "better" than those who pay more for the smart watch.

As you probably already know, Apple Watch Sport it has a screen protected by an Ion-X panel, similar to the Gorilla Glass used for the iPhone or iPad, while the stainless steel or gold Apple Watch has the screen protected by sapphire glass, but this does not offer an advantage in terms of regarding the quality of the images.

Although sapphire is more resistant to scratches, in conditions of high brightness, i.e. outdoor use, the Apple Watch Sport displays clearer images than models with a screen protected by sapphire, which reflects more light than the Ion-X panel.

According to the complex tests carried out for the screens of the two products, the models with the screens protected by sapphire glass reflect up to 74% more ambient light, making viewing the images much more difficult.

In the dark both Apple Watch displays appear and perform identically, but in ambient light they appear and perform differently due to the difference in the Reflectance of Sapphire and Glass... For the Apple Watch Sport with Ion-X Glass we measured the Screen Reflectance to be 4.7 percent, while for the Apple Watch with Sapphire we measured 8.2 percent Screen Reflectance, which is 74 percent higher than with Glass... The 74 percent higher Reflectance of the Apple Watch with Sapphire means that its screen will reflect almost twice as much surrounding ambient light as the Apple Watch Sport with Glass. And it takes surprisingly little ambient light for that to make a significant visible difference...

Leaving the technical details aside, you can easily see from the image above how big the difference is in terms of the degree of visibility of the Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch stainless steel or gold screens, Apple having a real problem in front.

Considering that an Apple Watch Sport costs at least 200 dollars or euros less than a stainless steel model, the difference compared to gold ones being much greater, I am curious how many owners of expensive models do not appreciate what Apple has achieved .
