iPhone 6C – development stopped by Apple?

iPhone 6C launchiPhone 6C is the name given to a new iPhone with a 4-inch screen and a plastic case that Apple is currently developing in order to launch it on the market in the fall of this year, a multitude of rumors announcing its appearance.

In the morning we also saw what is presented to us as being iPhone 6C battery, it being apparently taken from a factory of an Apple partner, the component being most likely created for a prototype that those from Cupertino would have requested for testing for the official launch in 2015.

Although all the rumors indicated that the launch of the iPhone 6C seems to be certain, some analysts are of the opinion that Apple is not yet willing to bring the new terminal to the market and that it prefers to offer the current models at a lower price than to reduce its sales with a new model.

According to analysts, iPhone 6C would have a design similar to that of iPhone 6, the hardware could be identical, but the selling price would be lower to allow a more diverse range of people to purchase it to enter the iPhone ecosystem.

It would look and feel just like the iPhone 6, and it would run on the same internal components as Apple's current flagship. But, it would come with a 4-inch screen just like Apple's previous iPhones. The idea would be to offer another low-cost option for those who wanted a new iPhone but didn't want to splurge on Apple's next model, which is expected to be called the iPhone 6S.

The problem for Apple seems to be that this iPhone 6C would have affected iPhone 6 sales, the latter terminal being offered at a reduced price in the fall, and a version with a colored case would have motivated many people to overlook it next year.

Basically, Apple hopes that the iPhone 6 will generate very good sales in 2015 together with the iPhone 6S, something that the iPhone 6C would have jeopardized, so the iPhone 6C project would have been suspended at the moment, but we are only talking about a rumor that must be treated as such.
