IBM intends to buy 200.000 Macs annually, giving up Lenovo

Apple IBM MacLast year Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), si IBM entered into an extended partnership whose objective is to attract new customers from the business segment by combining products and technologies that until now the companies sold separately.

As part of this partnership, the companies Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), si IBM have developed a multitude of business applications, IBM bought many iPad tablets from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, and according to some new information it seems that the acquisitions will not end here, because IBM will purchase 200.000 Macs annually.

IBM announced a few months ago that it will buy 50.000 Macs by the end of 2015 for its employees, but in reality this figure would be 4 times higher, IBM becoming the company with the largest purchases annual Macs based on this program.

If IBM will keep its program of buying a maximum of 200.000 Macs annually, then in a few years almost three quarters of the company's employees would use an Apple product, the big loser in this change being Lenovo.

And I said, "Well who's your largest corporate customer?" And he said "Well, that customer has got about 25,000 MacBooks a year." And I said, "Well we could be 150-200,000." And he goes "Jeff, that's a great idea! We're gonna come here, you know, next week...you bring your whole team," and that's exactly what happened.

The information regarding this IBM program comes from the CIO, chief information officer, Jeff Smith, who presented in a video clip a discussion between Tim Cook and one of IBM's vice presidents regarding the purchase of a large amount of Macs for employees.

If IBM will make the transition to the Apple platform with most of its employees, then we are talking about a partnership that will have an extremely long development period because changes of this kind are rarely made and for long periods of time.
