Vodafone offers two days of free internet on September 12 and 13 on the occasion of its 10th anniversary in Romania, the mobile phone operator making an unexpected gesture considering the large number of customers of mobile internet services.
According to Vodafone, in the first year after the launch of Supernet 4G, the download speed for mobile data connections increased by 110%, while the upload speed increased by 61%, 60 million hours of video streaming being accumulated in this brush.
Over 100 million internet connections were protected daily by Supernet 4G, so that on September 12-13, Vodafone customers will benefit from free and unlimited data traffic anywhere in the country.

Bucharest, September 2, 2015 - One year after the launch of Supernet™ 4G, Vodafone Romania offers the largest free internet experience in Romania. During the weekend of September 12-13, all users of Vodafone services will be able to surf the Internet for two days, free and unlimited.
In one year, Supernet™ 4G, the innovation proposed by Vodafone Romania in the use of mobile Internet services, provided users with a superior experience, high speeds, increased stability and complete protection of data connections.
Since the launch of Supernet™ 4G, more than 18 million phishing sites and 600.000 viruses have been blocked, and 100 million Internet connections have been protected daily by SecurityPro 2.0. and MaxProtect. From September 2014 to today, users have watched 60 million hours of streaming content. Moreover, upload and download speeds have increased, thanks to the exclusive UltraSpeed innovation. The download speed increased by 110%, while the upload speed recorded an advance of 61%.
"Since September last year, since we launched Supernet™ 4G, we have registered significant increases. 4G technology has become increasingly accessible, we have over 1.000.000 4G terminals connected to our network. We already know that users are consuming more and more data, but when we look at the numbers, we see that data traffic is indeed growing at an impressive rate. Compared to September 2014, data traffic in our network increased by 132%, and 4G data traffic increased 15 times, in the same period.
