Telekom Romania achievements 2014 - 2015

Telekom Romania will complete one year since its rebranding in just a few days, and today the representatives of the mobile operator organized a press conference in which they presented the main achievements during this period.

Telekom Romania is the main mobile phone operator in Romania in terms of customers with integrated packages, its MagentaONE subscriptions convincing over 150.000 customers to conclude a contract for fixed and mobile services.

Telekom Romania opens over 1.3 million homes connected to the fiber optic network and invests massively in its expansion, the operator being the only one in the country that offers 1 TB of free Cloud space for companies or integration with Microsoft OneDrive.

application Telekom MyAccount, which allows the administration of services contracted from the operator, will be taken over by other operators from the Telekom group, while the customer relations service proved to be one of the best in the entire telecom group.

For companies, Telekom is now introducing the priority call answering service in 10 seconds, which is only available for natural person customers who have MagentaONE subscriptions until now.

Regarding the evolution of customers, Telekom says that the satisfaction of subscribers to TV (IPTV) services has increased by 65%, the satisfaction of prepaid card users has increased by 16%, while the satisfaction of subscribers has increased by 20% in the last year.

Speaking of television, Telekom has 2.2 million televisions connected to Satellite, Interactive and Cable TV, it has the most complex interactive television and on-demand content through Telekom TV Web or mobile.

Moreover, Telekom TV has the most HD channels available, 10 TV channels contracted exclusively, among them Eurosport 360 HD, all of which is also available on the online platform.

Last year, Telekom also implemented an online payment system through the MyAccount section, the payments made by customers increased by 20% in the period since then, a sign that there is enough room for further growth.

Because Telekom's evolution in the last year was so good, the mobile operator announced the launch of MagentaONE packages for the whole family, which allow the activation of up to 6 additional mobile services without a minimum contract period.

New benefits for MagentaONE customers

For customers individuals, starting from September, MagentaONE provides the most advantageous offers for the whole family with more data and voice benefits and other advantages. The new commercial offer includes up to 6 additional mobile services for customers of fixed-mobile integrated services. New or existing MagentaONE customers can add, without a minimum contract period, up to 4 additional services Mobile Voice Family or Mobile Data Family for 4,95 euros/month including VAT/package. Depending on customer preferences, in addition to unlimited network services (voice and SMS), they can choose more voice benefits with Mobil Voce Familie - monthly 1000 national minutes/SMS, 200 international mobile minutes and 750MB of data traffic – or they can opt for more data traffic with Mobil Data Familie – 500 national minutes/SMS, 200 international minutes and 1,5GB of data traffic. In addition to these two services that combine voice and mobile data benefits, customers can opt for up to two data plans called Family Tablet Data. With all new family deals, mobile phones or tablets can be bought and paid for in monthly instalments. As an additional benefit for each additional package, the customer will receive 1GB of traffic for the main mobile service.

New customers have a 50% discount for the first 6 months for promotional packages that include Mobil L and TV L, Internet L, VoceFixa S, at 72 lei, VAT included, or Mobil L with TV M, Internet L, VoceFixa S, at 69 lei , VAT included, for the same period.

For the business segment, the fixed-mobile integrated package portfolio has been enhanced with additional options, mainly targeting SME customers. So, currently all existing business customers who have at least one fixed Telekom service and one Telekom mobile service can receive an accountOneDrive for Business free, which includes 1 TB of secure storage space (ISO certificate) and access to the online version of Microsoft Office. Moreover, this segment of business customers is picked up in the call center, on average, in 10 seconds.

New exclusives for TV customers

In terms of satisfaction, interactive TV customers are the most satisfied, as a result of the constant development of the functionalities available on the IPTV platform, which, in terms of preferences, had the fastest adoption rate among TV platforms available in the Telekom portfolio. In general, Telekom TV customers appreciate the content, HD quality and interactive features, in addition to the number of channels offered.

Over time, more than 10 exclusive TV channels have been added to the TV platform. The latest is Nat Geo People for linear television, available to all customers from early September. Nat Geo People is the newest brand in the National Geographic portfolio and provides access to life stories of ordinary people around the world. Also, on Telekom TV Interactive and on the Web & Mobile platform, a new exclusive VoD package can be accessed by moviegoers: Dolce Movies on Demand with PictureBox content from NBCUniversal, available for the first time in Romania, combined with other existing additional packages ( MUBI & Disney Movies on Demand).

Football fans can benefit from HD quality as Dolce Sport HD will be part of all basic packages for all TV technologies. In addition, Dolce Sport 2 HD is now also available for satellite TV customers in all basic packages, in addition to those dedicated to Interactive TV users. Therefore, Telekom TV customers can enjoy a complete experience while watching all UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches offered exclusively.

Enhanced IT&C capabilities for business customers

In the coming period, corporate business customers will benefit from the results of pilot projects for Smart Cities, such as Smart Lighting, Smart Parking, Video Surveillance, Smart Transportation. Among Telekom's strategic IT&C objectives for the next 12 months are the continuous development of "managed" services and the launch of new IT&C services, such as Mobile PoS, Branch of the Future for banking, Managed Wi-Fi as a Service , digital signature, electronic archive, Cloud CRM and ERP solutions. The M2M portfolio is also growing with solutions such as Elevator Emergency or Taxi dispatch.
