I told you yesterday that this weekend you will have free internet from Vodafone if you are one of the clients of the well-known mobile phone operator in Romania, and just a few hours ago its representatives offered the first statistics on usage.
According Vodafone, internet traffic increased by up to 22% after 00:01 when the promotion with free internet became active until 08:00 in the morning, the periods with the highest traffic being recorded between 00:01 - 02:00 and 04:00 and 06:00.
Considering the late hours, I can only imagine that a lot of people have left to download various multimedia content from the Internet, but this does not really matter and it will be interesting to see how the usage evolves during this day.
Vodafone Romania is one of the largest mobile phone operators in the country with millions of mobile service subscribers, so I expect the internet traffic to at least double during these two days compared to the same period last week.
Everyone benefits from free internet from Vodafone on September 12 and 13, regardless of what subscription or card they have, regardless of whether they use a 3G or 4G connection, so if you are a customer of the operator, you should consider taking advantage of the opportunity to test the Internet.
