Apple is developing an advanced mapping system

Apple Maps revolutionary systemApple Maps is far from being the success that the Apple company wants it to be and this is known even by CEO Tim Cook, but that does not stop him from continuing to develop the map system for iOS.

In this idea, Apple hired in Sweden for a new research and development center that has Apple Maps in the foreground, those from Cupertino intending to develop there an advanced mapping system that will contribute to improving the existing maps in Apple Maps.

Apple bought the C4 Technologie company 3 years ago and implemented its technology in Apple Maps to offer the FlyOver system, but now we are talking about something completely different, Apple hiring engineers specialized in the development of software designed to radically improve mapping.

For several months now, Apple has had a variety of cars sent on "missions" to map a variety of locations around the globe, and the data collected by them will definitely end up in Apple Maps sooner or later, including in the form of a Street View system.

Apple has been quietly ramping up its operations in Lund, a city near Malmö in Sweden, where it is apparently working on 'advanced mapping technology'. According to today's report, the focus of the site is clearly on working on the next generation(s) of Apple Maps, with the pace of hiring accelerating in recent months.

At the moment, no one knows for sure what Apple's plans are regarding the new mapping system, but we are probably talking about a better method of taking location data and transferring it to the digital environment.
