Facebook announced during this day a major change for users all over the world, so they will be able to set animated images, GIFs, as profile pictures for the mobile version of the American company's website.
Those from Facebook say that these GIF images will be played in a continuous loop for those who view our profile on mobile terminals, so that users can be as creative as they want within the limit of a few seconds of recording.
Moreover, users will be able to set a short video clip that can be played for all those who access the profile page, but also a picture that will be displayed instead of the normal one, it will disappear after a few minutes after displaying the profile page user profile.
Apart from this news, Facebook will also offer new options for customizing the user profile, so we will have the option to add new elements that express our personality better directly on the profile page.
Those from Facebook have not announced when these changes will be available globally, but some users in Great Britain and California are already seeing them, others will enjoy them in the not too distant future.
The world has changed since we first introduced profiles in 2004. On News Feed and profiles, we're seeing people create and view more videos than ever before. Today we're starting to test the next step in an obvious evolution of profiles: profile videos. Soon, you'll be able to film a short, looping video clip that will play for anyone who visits your profile. Profile videos will let you show a part of yourself you couldn't before, and add a new dimension to your profile.
