Apple buys the Perceptio company, here are the details

Siri PerceptioApple bought Perceptio during the past weeks and for those of you who don't know what this company does, well we are talking about one specialized in the development of technologies that allow the running of artificial intelligence systems on smartphones.

More precisely, we are talking about artificial intelligence systems that do not have to constantly communicate with a cloud infrastructure to share data from users, its co-founders being specialized in the development of artificial intelligence and facial recognition systems.

The main objective of the company Perceptio, before being bought by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, was to develop an artificial intelligence system capable of identifying images from smartphones without connecting to the servers of the company that developed those mobile terminals or to its servers.

For Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), this technology is perfect because in Cupertino there is an apparent interest in protecting user privacy, and software like Perceptio's would be perfect for Crab and who knows what other functions Apple is currently developing.

Apple Inc. acquired Perceptio, a startup developing technology to let companies run advanced artificial intelligence systems on smartphones without needing to share as much user data.

The purchase of Perceptio comes just a few days after it was announced that Apple bought VerticalIQ, a company with somewhat similar interests, which nevertheless specializes in artificial intelligence systems that are used in cars that reach ordinary users.

The Apple company has confirmed the acquisition of Perceptio in its characteristic way, but it remains to be seen how long it will take until the technologies of this company will actually end up in a product of those from Cupertino.
