Apple Watch generated sales of 1.7 billion dollars for the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in the first 5 months of availability on the market, or at least that's what American analysts tell us.
The amount was calculated by analyzing the receipts for the products in the Other category, which is also included there Apple Watch together with iPods, Apple's revenues in that category doubling compared to T3 2015, the increase being attributed to the new smart watch from Cupertino.
In 2014 the company Apple recorded revenues of 8.3 billion dollars for the Other category, while in 2015 it recorded revenues of 10 billion dollars, so the Apple Watch would represent at least 1.7 billion dollars of the revenues of this category, if the sales of the other products did not decrease or increase.
Until the launch of the Apple Watch, the receipts in the Other category were decreasing, so this smart watch probably generated somewhat higher receipts than those estimated by analysts so far, so we are talking about at least 1.7 billion dollars.
Although some had very high expectations from the Apple Watch, the product from Apple is doing quite well in terms of sales, having much higher revenues than any other competing product available on the market, so for Apple it is a success.
Apple Watch sales are not extremely high for now considering that it was launched with difficulty in many countries around the world, so in the future the evolution of sales could be a positive one for Apple.
