Facebook is testing new types of messages

facebook messages self-destructFacebook started to test the messages that are visible only temporarily in the chat window of the application Messenger, users in France being the first to have the opportunity to test this new system before the launch.

Company Facebook has implemented a function in the Messenger application that allows us to set certain messages to be deleted automatically one hour after sending them to our interlocutors, the function being similar to the one offered by the Snapchat application.

French people can send any kind of messages they want to any friends on their list Facebook, but through a button shaped like an hourglass, they can choose for the respective messages to be deleted one hour after they were sent, both from their terminals and from the terminals of their friends.

We're excited to announce the latest in an engaging line of optional product features geared towards making Messenger the best way to communicate with the people that matter most. Starting today, we're conducting a small test in France of a feature that allows people to send messages that disappear an hour after they're sent. Disappearing messages gives people another fun option to choose from when they communicate on Messenger. We look forward to hearing people's feedback as they give it a try.

After the automatic deletion of the messages, the users will see in the Messenger application only empty frames in which there would have been texts or pictures, the function can be activated automatically or separately, depending on what the users need in their daily use.
