Apple supports International AIDS Day in the Apple Store

Apple AIDS day red logoAnnually the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), shows its support for the international AIDS day, special products being offered through the Apple Store, while the logos of the stores are colored red, as you can see in the image above.

More than 400 Apple stores around the world have red logos today, the American company showing its support for the international AIDS day, but separately from that Apple also started selling some specially marked red cases and covers with the indication PRODUCT RED.

Part of the proceeds for these cases and covers are donated to an international non-governmental organization called the Global Fund, Apple donating to date no less than 100 million dollars to it over the years, the sum being an impressive one.

Apart from the accessories, the Apple company also concluded a partnership with the developers of the Supercell company, some of its games containing in-app purchases whose value will be fully donated to the aforementioned NGO in order to support the fight against AIDS.

Apple acts in exactly the same way every year and a lot of money is collected based on its actions, those from Cupertino being highly praised for this kind of charitable acts.
