Apple is developing straps that display alerts like the Apple Watch

Apple Watch screen strapbecause Apple Watch does not alone have the power to give Apple company total control over the wearables market, those from Cupertino are currently developing straps that are able to display alerts in a similar way to that of the Apple Watch.

The information is provided by a patent published today, in which the Apple company describes a way by which the straps in the headrest are able to show us without problems information that an Apple Watch can display by itself at the moment.

This type of fabric belt would have incorporated a fiber optic cable meant to illuminate to display information, the fabric being made in such a way that the ordinary material would allow illumination and display of information even though it would normally prevent everything.

Apple describes three methods by which it could make such a fabric belt, the fiber optic cable being fully illuminated, partially or covered by material to display the information in the way desired by the American company, the idea itself being interesting.

A woven fabric includes light transmissive fibers woven into the fabric to provide a visual display. The fabric may be used as a tether to releasably connect a portable electronic device to a user. The light transmissive fibers may transmit light to convey information to the user.

Apple describes in its patent methods by which smartphones or laptops could benefit from this technology, but it is only useful in the case of wearables and there are chances that in the not too distant future we will see a product that incorporate it in the method described now.

Of course, no one knows how much time will pass between the moment we see this patent and the moment a product with it implemented could be available, so you have to be patient if you like Apple's idea.
