iOS 9.2 allows sending attachments of up to 5 GB

iOS 9.2 maildrop 5GBiOS 9.2 was launched this evening by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the new version of the operating system bringing extremely many changes to the way we will use our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touches, among them being some interesting ones.

For the Mail application, Apple has implemented the possibility of sending attachments of up to 5 GB to our interlocutors, these being shared using the system Mail Drop developed by Apple for iCloud.

More precisely, when we try to attach a large file from iOS, a 4K movie for example, the Mail application will give us the option to use the Mail Drop system to send the file to the desired person, that file being uploaded to iCloud before the mail to be sent.

After uploading to iCloud, the recipient of the message will receive a link where they can download or view the attachment directly, and thus sending very large files is simplified by Apple, Mail Drop being offered exclusively for Mac until now.
