Apple increases iPhone and iPad prices in Germany

Apple increases the price of iPhone iPad GermanyApple has increased the prices of iPhone and iPad in Germany right from the beginning of 2016, the adjustment having the role of reflecting a change in legislation that requires the payment of higher licenses for certain types of electronic products sold in the country.

iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 5s are 5 euros more expensive in Germany from January 1, while the tablets iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 2 and iPad Pro are 8 euros more expensive, the price adjustment being made both in the Apple Store Online and in physical stores.

The price adjustment is made by the Apple company following the change in German legislation regarding the protection of copyrights, manufacturers and importers of electronic products being obliged to pay more money for products that allow the recording of multimedia content.

Although probably few of you know this, Apple was forced to make a similar price adjustment in 2010 for Macs, the price of these products increased by 10 euros compared to the prices in other European countries, the increase also being based on a change of legislation.

Having said that, if you have already noticed that iPhones and iPads are more expensive in Germany starting yesterday, now you have an explanation.
