If Apple were a country, its GDP would be higher than that of Romania

Every time Apple announces the financial results for a fiscal quarter or an entire year, many comparisons are made regarding its receipts and the GDPs of various countries on the planet, and in 2015 those from Cupertino had important achievements.

If Apple were a country, then its receipts would be equivalent to the GDP of Iraq, that is, in 2015 Apple had receipts of approximately 223 billion dollars, and since all this money was in the treasury of the Iraqi state in 2014, we can draw a tie.

I told you in the title that Apple's GDP would be higher than that of Romania, and if you look at the image below you will see that in 2014 Romania had a GDP of 199 billion dollars, with 24 billion dollars smaller than that of Apple.

Now the interesting part is that of these 223 billion dollars, 154 billion are represented only by the sales of iPhone terminals, and based on this calculation, Apple would rank 57th in the top countries with the highest GDP, domestic product gross, a pretty good position.

Having said that, the Apple company is slowly but surely heading towards revenues of 300 billion dollars in a few years, but that's only if it manages to convince the whole world that it has products good enough to be bought.
