Vodafone announced the financial results for Q3 2015-2016

During this morning Vodafone Romania announced the financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2015-2016, covering the period October 1 - December 31, 2015, theoretically the fourth normal quarter of 2015.

According to those from Vodafone Romania, at the end of December the company had 9.101.292 customers, of which 8.463.213 were users of mobile services, the revenue per user reaching 6.2 euros, the revenues from services adding up to 173.9 million euros.

Internet traffic in the Vodafone network increased by 129.2% compared to the same period last year, the number of customers of the mobile phone operator increasing by 496.723 customers compared to the same period last year, a healthy plus.

Bucharest, Romania – February 4, 2016 – Vodafone Romania announces the main financial indicators for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2015-2016, ended on December 31, 2015, according to the results reported today by Vodafone Group Plc..

Vodafone Romania registered a total number of 9.101.292 customers* on December 31, 2015, an increase of 496.723 compared to the same period of the previous year. Of the total number of customers, 8.463.213 are mobile service users.

Vodafone Romania's mobile ARPU reached 6,2 Euros in the three months ended December 31, 2015.

Revenues from related services for the quarter ended December 31 reached 173,9 million Euros, up 5,1% compared to the same period of the previous year, in organic terms.

On December 31, 2015, subscribers to Vodafone services represented 41% of the customer base, and Vodafone Card users, 59%. The number of users of prepaid services decreased by 0,3 percentage points compared to the previous quarter.

Mobile data consumption increased by 129,2% in the quarter ended 31 December 2015 compared to the same period last year

The smartphone penetration rate in the user base increased by 8,4 percentage points in the quarter ended December 31, 2015 compared to the same period last year. Smartphone sales are up 44% year-on-year.”
